#ENDVBM Slams Oregon Republican Establishment for sabotaging IP37 as Trump’s landmark Executive Order proves ip37 Petitioners Right.

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. – Following President Donald J. Trump’s March 31, 2026, Executive Order “Ensuring Citizenship Verification and Integrity in Federal Elections,” which directs the creation of a national citizenship verification list and secures mail-in ballots through the U.S. Postal Service with unique tracking identifiers, ENDVBM today called on Oregon voters to reject the uniparty playbook and support Initiative Petition 37 (IP37).

IP37 would amend the Oregon Constitution to end universal vote-by-mail, limit absentee ballots to verified cases only, require documentary proof of U.S. citizenship for voter registration (mirroring the federal SAVE Act), mandate photo ID to vote, and restore single-day, in-person paper ballot elections with full public transparency.

The battle in Oregon exposes the deep rot in the state’s Republican leadership. While Trump’s EO demands verifiable citizenship and secure mail processes nationwide, Oregon GOP insiders have demoralized signature gathering, refused platform endorsements, and spread defeatist messaging that IP37 can’t succeed - echoing Democrat talking points that IP37 will create “voter suppression” by activating the Democrat base to turnout, without ever lifting a finger to clean up voter rolls or restore trust.

The Chief Petitioners of IP37 have issued the following statements:

“President Trump just dropped the hammer on mass election fraud at the federal level, and IP37 is the exact state-level action needed to lock those protections into Oregon’s Constitution once and for all,” said Ben Edtl, Chief Petitioner for IP37. “But here in Oregon, our own Republican establishment is actively trying to kill it, publicly calling IP37 a ‘failed effort’ and telling grassroots activists essentially ‘don’t even waste your time.’ They say they want election security while doing absolutely nothing. They’re on the same side as the Democrats: talk big, deliver zero. The only difference is the RINOs pretend to be on our team. This uniparty corruption needs to be shredded because Oregonians deserve real action, not more bullshit from the same group of insiders who’ve been blocking anti-corruption reform for years.”

Michaela Hammerson, a Chief Petitioner for IP37, added: “This isn’t complicated. Trump’s order and the SAVE Act are common-sense safeguards every American should support. IP37 puts those protections in our state constitution so Oregon stops being the national punchline for vote-by-mail chaos. Yet Republican chairs and legislators are out here blocking endorsements and telling people it’s a waste of time. Pathetic. The establishment is terrified of real reform because it threatens their power. Grassroots Oregonians are done carrying water for politicians who say they want secure elections while fighting harder against IP37 than the Democrats do.”

Stephen Joncus, Chief Petitioner and attorney battling for election integrity, stated: “IP37 is the constitutional backstop Oregon desperately needs to align with President Trump’s federal push for citizenship verification and ballot security. The Republican establishment’s public campaign to dismiss it as ‘failed’ while Democrats openly oppose any change proves they’re two sides of the same coin. No more games. We’re codifying these protections into the Constitution because the people—not the uniparty—decide how elections are run in Oregon.”

ENDVBM urges every Oregonian who wants elections they can trust to join the fight: sign the petition, volunteer, and reject the RINO defeatism that keeps Oregon stuck with the most insecure voting system in America. Trump is leading nationally. Now it’s time for Oregon to follow through at the state level.
